Weight Division means "Weight Range" At Weigh-Ins.

Many a MMA fighters and coaches think that they have to be exactly at the maximum weight of a weight class division at weigh-ins. Not always so. Division pretty much means "weight range."
For example, if a fighter is fighting in the Bantamweight Division, she can weigh in anywhere between 126lb to 135lb maximum. As long as she is within that range, she made weight and should not face any penalties & so forth.
If she falls anywhere out of that range, she misses weight. However, different state commissions & sanctioning bodies do grant fighters 1 to 3 pounds allowance should they weigh in over the maximum weight limit.
This link will show you the ranges within different weight divisions & the new weight classes, such as Super Lightweight & Cruiserweight, that were implemented to the Unified Rules of MMA in 2017.
What do you think? What weight division would you be in if you were to fight tomorrow?
